Last weekend, Debbie & I created a really unique wedding cake. The cakes themselves were pretty unremarkable - just covered in fondant with a small bead border. But instead of flowers or sugar decorations, the bride chose to decorate the cake with real fruit!
At first I thought..."hm...definitely different..." But now I'm thinking, I love it! How perfect for a Spring wedding?!
Fresh and colorful, but definitely not over the top.
In fact, the whole reception looked very "fresh." And I love that it was held in the late morning so the sunlight could pour in the windows at the Sweetwater Branch Inn.
Just gorgeous!

I like the idea, but I'd still rather see your beautiful sugar creations!
